We live in a constant hurry we are looking for eternal beauty resistant to the changeable fashion. At Wikline we do believe that this beauty comes from the nature.
For us, the wicker is the symbol of the eternal beauty – the material of which our furniture is made. We do not process and improve the wicker; the nature did it for us.
At Wikline we shape the wicker, give it a modern form and join it with other exclusive materials such as precious steel and leather.
The added value of our furniture is a craftsman work. We are convinced that no furniture of mass production is capable of expressing the character of a work made by human’s hands.
That is why our craftsmen artists put their time, emotions, experience and effort into every piece of furniture they make, thereby taking care of the highest quality of our collection.
Wikline – press release
Poznań, Poland, 28 January 2005, Mrs. Magdalena Grabińska-Rachel director of Wikline announces the introduction to the furniture market of the two models of Wikline collection: a chaise longue and a coffee table.
Wikline is a new brand on the furniture market which is characterised by modern design and a combination of timeless beauty included in the material such as the wicker with craftsman work of a very high quality.
Wicker is an alternative for commonly known plaited fabric, i.e. the rattan and for other similar kinds of fabrics that can be found away from our climatic zone.
We believe that the real beauty comes from the nature, thus we do not improve the wicker, but frame it in a modern form and combine with precious steel or cotton.
Because we are sure that no furniture of mass production is capable of expressing the character of a work made by human’s hands our furniture is woven by hands of experienced craftsmen.
The first designs from our collection – chaise longue and coffee table were made according to our philosophy that in a peculiar way combines the pattern, form and natural material.
Both chaise longue and coffee table are distinguished by light and smooth contour. The construction of the furniture was made of polished precious steel. For weaving we use the top quality wicker plaited in a typical way for this kind of materials. The weaving creates a beautiful gap mesh. The colouring of the chaise longue waving is characterised by richness of natural multicolour, so special for the wicker. The functional fulfilment of furniture, as it comes to chaise longue is a leather headrest and the table – a glass table-top.
Chaise longue and a coffee table are available in different combination of material and colours as: type of the steel surface, the pattern of the chaise longue waving or colour of leather and wicker.

Our Furniture– general information
The Wikline furniture means the natural comfort and relax.
This is the connection of advantages of the natural raw material – wicker with modern furniture design for the needs of the contemporary user.
In our collection, besides the wicker that is the primary material, you will find precious steel, aluminium, glass, leather, natural fabrics such as: linen, cotton.
Furniture – chaise longue
Pursuant to our philosophy we have designed a chaise longue that in a particular way combines the pattern, form and material.
Its dynamical form remains in harmony with ergonomic and environment friendly material.
For sure, this is a very comfortable piece of furniture intended for relax.
The chaise longue fulfils the elementary rules of ergonomic: allows maintaining the regular contact of your back with a profiled backrest, thus helping to keep the natural shape of your backbone and give the feeling of security thanks to the stable construction adjusted to the weight of the user.
Sensual and smooth contour of the backrest distinguishes it from other furniture of this kind.
The chaise longue construction is made from the polished precious steel. The backrest and sitting are woven in hands in multicolour. The coil is characteristic for plait works and creates a gentle mesh with a gap. The ergonomically and tasteful supplement of this piece of furniture is leather headrest, filled with fireproof polyurethane foam.
There are few possibilities of combining the materials, as of the wicker or leather colouring in a headrest, a weaving design to the type of a precious steel surface.

Furniture – coffee table
There are many ways to enliven your living room and to emphasize its style. In the Wikline collection the coffee table was designed to serve as the epicentre of the interior of your room.
This could be achieved thanks to materials used and a gentle contour.
The construction thereof is made of the polished precious steel, and the centre is filled with a wicker of a natural brown colouring. A glass table top makes a perfect background for the form and a waving and reflects all that happens around the table. The thickness of the glass is 10mm.

Furniture – materials
The materials used to produce the Wikline furniture are always carefully selected and can guarantee the top quality.
WICKER
– is a natural raw material that can be found in our climatic zone (Europe). It is obtained from plantations. Among many features we can distinguish elasticity, flexibility and lightweight. Woven in the furniture makes the atmosphere of warmth, cosiness and natural environment.
Its distinguishing feature is vitality. The wicker never dies. At Wikline Before the waving process starts the material undergoes the process of a bark removal, i.e. purifying the material by removal of the bark. Next, it is rigorously selected and soaked to give the proper elasticity required during waving to the wicker rods. When the process of waving is finished the furniture is dried again.
The particular virtue of the wicker is its multicolour. Its natural colour depends on the way of barking the rods undergo. The most popular colour is the golden one which is obtained by boiling rods in the boiler with water during exactly defined period of time.
In our collection you will find also a dark brown colour obtained by brewing the rods in the boiler with water for many hours.
The most precious strain of the wicker is the white wicker – it is strong and durable and its colour is ivory. This colour is obtained by soaking the rods in the special containers for a particular period of time, and then by exposing to the sunlight and mechanical or hand barking.
In the Wikline collection we use only the white wicker that is hand-barked. Thanks to this we obtain the material of the top quality with no mechanical defects.
PRECIOUS STEEL – due to its many advantages and unique charm, at Wikline we use precious steel for production of furniture constructions and finishes.
We have proper certificates on steel we use. Thanks to the steel our constructions are durable, resistant to corrosion and temperature and are environment friendly. We can perform the constructions in the polished steel which gives the effect of the “mirror” or mat steel – polished.
ALUMINUM – its physical and aesthetical features make that it is suitable for combining with other materials. We use aluminium in the form of profiles as the furniture constructions or elements of a surface finish. Aluminium is anodizing in many colours.
GLASS – it is the material that visually and functionally supplements our furniture. We use a grinded glass, a polished glass and a sand-blasted glass - 6 to 10mm thick.
LEATHER – is an irreplaceable natural material. In the Wikline collection the leather is a gentle supplement to the wicker. We use a cow hide, tanned leather and dyed in many colours.
NATURAL FABRICS – in the Wikline collection you can find flax, cotton, natural mixtures. They are ecologically pure and do not possess any harmful substances and make an impression of hearty warmth and cosiness.
Furniture – care and maintenance
Our furniture was designed to stand the test of time. However, it depends only on you whether or not your furniture will remain in a good condition for a long period. Thus in your hands lies the responsibility for care and maintenance. Here, you can find some tips that will help you to keep the furniture in a proper condition and modern look.
Leather maintenance
1. It is recommended to dust and wipe up a surface using a damp cotton cloth once a week, making gentle, circular movements.
2. Twice a year, it is recommended to apply some cream on the leather.
3. Never subject your wicker furniture to the harsh weather elements of sun or rain.
4. Do not keep the leather too close to the source of the heat.
Glass maintenance
For everyday care it is recommended to use the products for cleaning the glass.
Care of steel
For everyday care of the steel it is recommended to use the products specially designed for this purpose. In a damp atmosphere, near to salt water (swimming pools, beaches) it is recommended to use a wax once a month. In other conditions the wax should be used once every three months. Steel should be polished with antibacterial cloth that burnishes the steel and leaves no trails and stops development of bacteria.
Wicker furniture care
To keep your wicker furniture always clean, beautiful and fresh you should cleanse it with cool water and soft sponge or soft brush. Remember! Never clean the wicker furniture with soap or other detergent! The wicker will tarnish and go dark. To restore the wicker to its colour and give it a new glitter one should cleanse it with citric acid (1 litre of water: 4 teaspoons of citric acid). The wicker should be conserved once a year using the ecological varnish. When it is used more often one should varnish it every six months.
The maintenance should be made by using a soft brush that we use to apply the varnish horizontally part by part. Next, we should give it some time to dry.
Shall you have any questions concerning the proper care and maintenance of wicker furniture please contact Wikline.

Wiklinetime
We need time to manufacture our furniture. At Wikline we have created our own definition of time – Wiklinetime. It means the common time we spend to design and perform our collection, and the time you spend when relaxing on our furniture.
Thus this is our common time, the WIKLINETIME.
- from nature…
ecological furniture, modern interiors, trendy furniture
From time immemorial human has lived in harmony with nature. Thanks to using the natural resources the development of civilisation was possible, until the present times when we could notice the outburst of mass production of plastics. Sadly, among novelties we can barely notice any “naturalness”, therefore Wikline means NATURE, combined with a new design and craftsmanship quality.
However, before you see the wicker dressed in steel, frosted with gentle glass; it must be created by Mother Earth. The wicker planted in the spring bears fruits in the autumn – not as a material for plait works but as a material that can be used for reproduction. The wicker is reproduced by the pieces of the cut up rod, which take roots in the ground. Next, after the vegetation period when the leaves fall down, the wicker is cut down. Crops collected from the plantation are precisely sorted and refined. The refinement of the wicker means removal of rods and sticks from the bark, which gives the aesthetic effect, and moreover strengthens the wicker and all products made of it. After barking and drying the wicker must by stored for at least 14 days in dry warehouses and after that time should be sorted once more. Only after such a long and complex process, the best wicker twigs are selected for our products.
